Here is a snippet from the Caddytips from Spyglass Hill Golf Course:

    Hole 1
Downhill dogleg left par 5 595/564/529 yds.

Tee shot: A long sweeping dogleg left, from the back tees a shot of 250 yds. should be enough to reach the corner anything longer than 280 yds. should be angled slightly to the left. A straight tee ball from the gold tees plays no more than 235 yds., from the whites 210 yds.

Second shot: The goal here is to get past the two small trees on the left side of the fairway, which are approximately 150 yds from the green. Even though the shot plays downhill it will generally play into the wind, also check your stance, the uneven fairway tends to give funny lies. The far end of fairway is about 75 yds. from the green.

Approach shot: This is a very large green, 39 paces from back to front so if the pin is long or short adjust carefully. The front of the green will slope from back to front, but the middle of the green runs away from you.

Green: When facing the green from the fairway the grain will run to the far left side of the green. There is a large swale in the center of the green; the ball will break from left to right while rolling down this hill.
