In your own words, what sets your store apart from your local competitors?

Our Tucson golf store has an extremely knowledgeable staff with over 120 years of combined golf-related experience. We have developed personal relationships with our customers to the point of calling them by name when they enter the store, and we'll even play golf with them from time to time. What is your favorite local course and why? What is your favorite course ever played? What is your one top bucket list course still to play?

For me, it's a tie for my favorite local course between the Catalina Course at Omni Tucson National and the North Course at The Gallery Golf Club. I like the Catalina course for its more traditional layout and design, while the Gallery offers forgiving fairways and beautiful desert surroundings and views. My favorite course ever played is Pebble Beach, and my bucket list course would have to be Augusta National.

How long have you been playing golf, and how long have you been in the golf business?

I have been playing golf for just over 40 years and have been in the golf industry for 18 years.

What is your most cherished golf memory, experience, moment, or win?

My favorite golf memory would have to be playing Pebble Beach. It's that one course that stands out amongst all of the rest. To walk those fairways where so many great players have walked...I don't think my feet hit the ground the entire round! Plus, the scenery is spectacular.

If you had one piece of advice for any golfer, what would it be?

My advice is to always get fit for your equipment. Don't just buy off the rack. Make sure the person fitting you is qualified and understands the need to be properly fit. I'd also recommend setting up a lesson with a local teaching professional who has a strong reputation.
