FootJoy officials say that the singular focus on their very successful Contour shoe line has been comfort, and in an effort to enhance that feature, they recently rolled out a “radical upgrade” to the product, called ContourFit.
Starting from the ground, these shoes boast a so-called DynaFlex outsole that has been designed to flex naturally with the foot, thanks largely to individual “flex grooves” that have been placed to maximize mobility. Next up is a FTF 3.0 midsole, which is included to provide better underfoot cushioning while also giving golfers improved lateral support and stability.
In addition, the shoemakers created a new and improved FitBed, to further enhance comfort, as they also endowed the top of the ContourFit with a U-throat design made to give players a more generous fit.
An integrated Achilles heel pad is intended to work with the connected comfort tongue to lock the foot into the shoe for a better and more precise fit.
As for the uppers, they comprise full-grain leather and a performance synthetic material and come with a guarantee to be waterproof for two years of normal use.
