The new Powerband Boa Boost shoes, currently being used in competition by tour professionals Sergio García and Jon Rahm, employ several technologies to provide what Adidas designers say is the ultimate in traction, support and comfort.

Start with a midsole that employs so-called Boost cushioning and a Climaproof microfiber leather upper that is designed to be light yet durable and waterproof. An L6 Boa closure system is located at the top-center of the tongue in an effort to make fit adjustments more convenient, and it works with the three-stripe, Powercage saddle to lock down the midfoot and strengthen lateral stability.

A six-spike TPU outsole uses strategically placed secondary lugs with low-profile Thintech EXP cleats to make it easier for golfers to maintain a strong hold on the ground, while a new competition last boasts a slightly rounded toe shape and wider forefoot for improved comfort and stability.

“The original Powerband golf shoe was a revolutionary product when we first brought it to the marketplace in 2007, and it helped push golf footwear technology to the next level,” says Masun Denison, director of footwear for Adidas Golf. “The Power franchise has always stood out as bold and more progressive and is a great representation of what adidas Golf is all about. And infusing this footwear with all that we have learned the past ten years, the new Powerband Boa Boost is the most technical and innovative Powerband shoe to date.”
