The plan was to completely transform his body and game by adding 40 lbs. of muscle in the offseason. To get stronger. Longer off the tee. To dominate.
To say that Bryson DeChambeau’s plan has worked would be scary for the rest of the PGA Tour. To say that his plan is “working” (meaning that he could get even better) is downright horror movie scary.
Since the transformation, he’s 1st in driving distance this season (323 yards), 2nd in scoring average (68.765), 6th in greens in regulation (72.62%), and 4th in FedEx Cup points. At the Rocket Mortgage Classic, he averaged 350.6 yards off the tee with a long drive of 377 yards.
He’s hitting 600-yard par 5s in two with short irons. Out of the rough. WOW!
