A few months ago, Callaway Golf introduces its new Mack Daddy 4 wedges. Designed by Roger Cleveland with members of the company’s R&D team – and with input from its tour staff – they boasted so-called Groove-In-Groove technology, for more shot-stopping spin, and featured a more compact head shape when compared to previous iterations of wedges in that line, as well as a straighter and slightly more offset leading edge.

Now Callaway is adding to that mix, offering a new, non-glare raw finish option as well as a pair of new grinds, 54-X and 56-X.

All three initially had been created for tour professionals, and company officials say the feedback from them was so strong they decided to start selling the clubs to the general golf public.

As a result, Mack Daddy 4’s now are available in three finishes – Raw, Platinum Chrome and Matte Black, And the addition of the new grinds give the line 15 different loft/bounce options.
