Callaway proudly introduces the Apex 19 line of irons – the ultimate forged players distance iron. Designed to be the entire package – soft feel, consistent distance with playability, and optimum ball flight and control – the Apex 19 series of irons offers premium craftsmanship, the latest advancements in technology, and a sleek, crisp look that will have your playing partners green with envy.
Meanwhile, the Apex Pro 19 irons contain all of those benefits, plus forged tour performance for an iron that better players can appreciate.
The Apex 19 irons have a forged 1025 mild carbon steel body, and for the first time ever, Callaway has engineered a forged iron with their proprietary urethane microspheres – tiny air pockets that absorb unwanted vibration without slowing down the face. And the carbon steel body ensures the “Apex” sound and feel that loyal golfers have come to know and expect.
Better players seek distance, but consistent distance, with the ability to work the ball in a variety of ways, and with their 360 Face Cup, Callaway achieves just that. There’s a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the clubface which flexes and release at impact for faster ball speeds on both center and off-center strikes.
The Apex 19 irons feature a tungsten-infused, multi-material construction which allows the engineers to place the center of gravity in each iron with unparalleled precision, promoting the optimal launch and ball flight and allowing players precise control, especially in the scoring zone.
Taking things up a notch, the Apex 19 irons are also available in a stunning gray Smoke PVD finish, with a new Apex Smoke Medallion, as well as a new Smoke-colored version of the Elevate shaft, creating a premium iron in exceptional visual design.
Many of us, even low-handicap players, struggle to hit our long irons well and consistently. So in order to help achieve the most effective blend of players distance iron and scoring clubs, Callaway designed a specialized mixed set, which delivers the exceptional Apex performance throughout the set.
The 3-7 irons are Apex 19, while the 8-AW are the more compact Apex 19 Pro. However, Callaway is quick to point out that this isn’t your everyday combo set. In fact, they’ve adjusted the lofts to maintain proper gapping between clubs, as well as re-bored the hosels so that they are the same on each club.
In order to maximize the scoring clubs, the 8-AW maintain a classic, player-preferred look, with a straighter leading edge, higher toe, and thin top line – the design and shaping of which was created with influence from Callaway’s all-star stable of Tour players.
Callaway’s high-performance Apex series – trusted by Tour staff like Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia – continues its tradition of premium craftsmanship in a highly playable iron with consistent distance and precise control.
