Callaway set out to make bigger, faster, and more forgiving drivers and fairway woods – and boy did they ever.

Heck, these things just look fast.

First, the company redefined what is possible with club speed and then worked with aerodynamic experts at Boeing to make the all-new XR drivers and fairway woods the fastest ever to come out with the Callaway badge.

Callaway started with its most forgiving shape and gave it a re-engineered Speed Step with a lower drag on the crown that produces serious club head speed. The bigger footprint and a lower and deeper center of gravity help launch the ball higher with more carry.

Not stopping there, this new XR goes further by producing more ball speed thanks to the faster R•MOTO face technology that’s up to 19 percent thinner and lighter (in the drivers) than its predecessor – all of which leads to more ball speed across the face to generate greater distance and accuracy, even on off-center hits.

Callaway then takes the weight saved in the face and redistributes it in the club head for an MOI that results in extreme forgiveness whether you hit it “on the screws” or anywhere across the face.

And as with the previous XR models, the all-new XR16 is available with a high-quality Fujikura Speeder Evolution 565 Shaft, as well as your choice of four upgrade shafts from Fujikura, Mitsubishi, and Bassara to fit your swing at no additional charge.
