Cobra King F9 Drivers, Fairways, & Hybrids

Cobra F9 Drivers, Fairway Woods & Hybrids

Cobra’s new line of F9 drivers, fairway woods and hybrids is set to be released in mid-January, 2019, and with it, a revolutionary advancement in driver technology. The Cobra F9 driver combines an aerodynamic clubhead shape with a low center of gravity to optimize speed for what Cobra says is its fastest, longest driver ever.

The key to creating an aerodynamic clubhead is to reduce the amount of drag on it, and Cobra does this by combining a raised skirt, raised tail/aft, a raised/rounded crown, and a rounded frontal perimeter. The result is a sleek, eye-catching design that not only looks incredible but also delivers unparalleled speed and maximum distance across the full spectrum of swing speeds.

But Cobra didn’t stop there. In order to amplify speed, they introduced the industry’s only CNC milled driver face, making the face thinner and hotter so balls rocket off of it, as well as improve accuracy on off-center hits.

And in order to push the technological boundaries even further, Cobra constructed an ultralight carbon wrap crown – golf’s first ever – which not only makes a larger carbon fiber area but also saves four grams of weight compared to a traditional carbon fiber crown.

Other technological features include MYFLY8 with Smart Pad, which gives players eight adjustable loft settings to help find the perfect launch conditions and ball trajectory. An adjustable weight system in the driver allows you to move the CG forward to backward to help improve distance.

And as always, each driver comes standard with the Cobra Connect grips, in conjunction with Arccos, which allow you to track your distances and stats.

Just how good are these drivers? Bryson DeChambeau started the 2018-19 PGA Tour season by putting one in the bag and winning the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, finishing 5th in Strokes Gained Off-the-Tee and 5th in driving accuracy percentage.

KING F9 Speedback Fairway & Tour Fairway Woods

Featuring much of the same technology as the F9 drivers, the F9 Speedback Fairway Woods combines the precision of a CNC milled face with Cobra’s revolutionary Baffler Speedback technology. The Baffler rails combined with tungsten weighting added to the back of the club optimizes its interaction with the turf, making it the ideal fairway wood to hit from any lie, be that off the tee, from the fairway, or from the rough.

The F9 Speedback Fairway Woods also feature eight adjustable settings, plus MYFLY8 with Smart Rail, so that they launch high and land soft, perfect for reaching a long par-5 or difficult par-3.

Meanwhile, the Tour Fairway Woods possess a compact head shape preferred by tour players and better amateurs, which helps deliver precision and shot-shaping capabilities.

KING F9 Speedback Hybrids

Hybrids are often the most versatile club in our bag. Whether using them off the tee, from the fairway or rough or even around the green for chipping, hybrids must be able to handle a vast variety of lies. And in order to help recover out of bad lies in the rough, Cobra added weight to the back of the club and combined that with their re-engineered Baffler rail design to help lower the center of gravity, and in turn, improve not only speed and stability, but also launch conditions, making it easier to hold the green on longer shots.

KING F9 Speedback One Length Hybrids

Always eager to combine imagination with scientific thought, Bryson DeChambeau claimed four wins on the PGA Tour this year, all using his single-length clubs. Why use the same length of club throughout the bag? For Bryson, it reduces variables and leads to more consistency and confidence, and Cobra thinks it can do the same for everyday golfers.

Already available in Cobra irons, One Length Hybrids combine Speedback technology and high MOI with their one-length configuration, so that you can put two or three in your bag and reduce variability, thus creating a more repeatable swing and consistent results.

All of the Cobra King F9 Speedback woods come standard with Lamkin Crossline Connect grips.
