“What am I doing hangin round?” A song made famous by the Monkees back in the ’60s. Also, the feeling Collin Morikawa must have had most of Sunday at Muirfield Village.
Until a five-footer for par dropped on #15. Three back with three to play. Now he knew why he was “hangin’ round.”
He birdied only one of the final three holes, but it was enough to force a playoff with Justin Thomas.
Three holes later, Morikawa took two putts for par from just inside 10 feet to capture his second career win. He never looked like he was the winner until it was over.
