Wow. Just Wow. Where do we start?
How about with a November Masters that brought us so many things that were special.
With no ropes lining the fairways because there were no patrons. But somehow, everyone there knew where to go.
Or a well-fitting tribute to Lee Elder, with establishing two scholarships in his name at Paine College and adding him as an honorary starter with Jack and Gary next April.
But the main course of the week was Dustin Johnson shattering all of the records, breaking that one little jinx of not being able to close out a major while sleeping on a 54 hole lead. His game was superb. About the only thing he couldn’t do is hold it together in the post-tournament interview.
That’s ok, DJ, Bubba couldn’t either. And he’s got a couple of green jackets. Your closet has room in it for more.
Like Lee Elder’s tribute, your win was well deserved and long overdue. Congratulations!
