PHOENIX (May 8, 2012) â PINGâs HooferÂŽ carry bag has won Gold on the 2012 Golf Digest âHot Listâ ranking of the industryâs highest-performing products. The results are published in the June issue of the magazine.
In recognizing the Hoofer, editors singled out its dual sliding shoulder pads and innovative strap slider, which provides a backpack-style fit and makes the bag easy to slide on and off. These features are part of PINGâs Enhanced Ergonomics (E2ÂŽ), which includes a leg-retention strap that keeps the legs snug while walking. A reinforced bracket with leg stops ensures stable, secure leg extension on all surfaces. At approximately 5 pounds, the Hoofer has a roomy five-way, reinforced top to make club removal and replacement easy. Eight pockets include those for valuables, a range-finder, and apparel.
âThe Hoofer is a wonderful example of how E2 has enabled us to advance comfort, adjustability and durability while ensuring that our bags can be fit to any playerâs body type and carrying style,â said John A. Solheim, PING Chairman & CEO. âAt PING, our emphasis on innovation, performance and custom-fitting extends well beyond golf clubs. The Hoofer winning âHot Listâ Gold is further validation of our efforts to make sure every product carrying the PING name is the highest quality.â
Of the 65 bags tested, only eight were awarded Gold. Including the Silvers given to its 4 SeriesÂŽ and PioneerÂŽ bags, PING tied for the most awards.
