FootJoy Upgrades RainGrip Gloves

By: John Steinbreder of Global Golf Post

First released two decades ago, FootJoy’s RainGrip golf gloves were designed to help players do their best in even the wettest conditions. And through the years, the equipment maker has taken frequent steps to improve upon the original.

Consider, for example, the latest version of RainGrip, which features a Quick-Dry II Knit material on the back of the fingers, for better fit, feel and flexibility.

A Sure-Grip Autosuede Knit Palm is made to upgrade grip no matter how hard it is raining – or how much a player’s hands may sweat on a hot and humid day. Then, there is the angled ComforTab Closure, which is strategically positioned for a precise fit.

FJ_66127E_03RainGrip has been the standard for wet playing conditions since it was introduced,” says Maria Bonzagni, senior director of golf gloves and FootJoy gear. “And it has provided unmatched, all-weather performance so golfers can play at their highest level in all climate conditions.

“However, we have also noticed players on the global tours and amateurs alike opting to use RainGrip as their everyday glove, especially in muggy conditions. The new RainGrip was developed with these players in mind, while still providing all of the performance enhancements of the standard RainGrip.”

Traditionally, the gloves have been available only in black. But this generation of RainGrip is also offered in a white/grey combination.
