Mizuno Pro irons take series to new heights
If you’ve been a big fan of Mizuno Golf’s MP irons over the last three decades, you’ll be delighted to know there are new additions to the family in 2022.
The company has ditched the MP of its predecessors, however, and the new models are simply Mizuno Pro 221, Mizuno Pro 223, and Mizuno Pro 225.
All of the clubs have been forged in Hiroshima, Japan, where Mizuno irons have been produced since 1968, and feature a soft copper underlay beneath nickel-chrome for a pure, soft feel. Always the company’s most forward-thinking series, the Mizuno Pro editions continue the company’s tradition.
The Mizuno Pro 221 is the ultimate muscleback iron, while the Pro 223 is designed to give tour players everything they need to compete on demanding layouts. The Mizuno Pro 225 boasts a hot metal blade design with a CORTECH multi-thickness face for quicker ball speeds.
Another new club in the mix for Mizuno is the Fli-Hi, a versatile driving iron that offers the first MAS1C steel face in an iron as well as blacked-out ION plating.
