The people at Los Angeles-based G/Fore described the Collection Gallivanter as their best-selling shoe and cite several features that set it above the others.
They point first to the waterproof, full-grain upper, which also boasts a cushioned, interior side quarter for superior comfort and an anti-microbial-mesh sock lining to enhance breathability. As for the insole, which is removable and washable, it includes a triple-density foam cushioned footbed as well as a dual-density, molded EVA foam heel cup. The actual sole of this shoe is designed to be lightweight and provide both flexibility and support, while the multi-level cleats are made to promote traction as they also allow for natural rotation during a swing.
Founded by Mossimo Giannulli in 2011 and endowed with what has been described as a “stylish rebellious spirit,” G/Fore became a part of Peter Millar this past January after the two concerns produced a co-branded show the year before. The success of that endeavor then led to Peter Millar acquiring the concern.
According to G/Fore officials, a number of tour professionals currently wear its shoes in competition, among them Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, and Brandt Snedeker.
