The new Tour SNSR line of putter grips from Golf Pride is notable for a couple advancements. For starters, the grips employ a soft-tuned rubber formulation that is designed to improve feel and encourage lighter grip pressure that in theory should promote a smoother stroke. The material is also made to provide better feedback so players control their distance more effectively.

The other area of progression comes with the introduction of a pair of grip shapes in this line. Company officials describe the Tour SNSR Contour as an evolution of the classic tapered pistol profile, which is the style preferred by the majority of tour professionals. Then there is the Tour SNSR Straight, which offers a contemporary, non-tapered shape to induce more consistent hand pressure and feel. That version also boasts soft, rounded edges that are strategically beveled for palm and finger pad comfort.

As different as those shapes may be in those regards, they have several similarities. Each comes with a wide paddle front and is finished with a traction-textured design to bolster feel and moisture control. They are also available in two sizes, 104 cc and 140 cc.

“Our new Tour SNSR series is arguably our most distinctive and innovative putter grip line ever produced,” says Brandon Sowell, global director of sales and marketing for Golf Pride. “We worked extensively with tour players and amateurs for input during development, and they clearly highlighted a need for enhanced feel and feedback with larger putter grips. Our R&D team took the challenge and produced a new soft rubber formulation that redefines excellence for feedback and tour performance.”
