NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — It took a while. It was a long time to wait. 10 seasons. 233 tournaments to be exact. But when it was all said and done on Sunday, Jason Kokrak is finally a winner on the PGA Tour, coming out on top in the star-studded field at the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek.
Kokrak closed with an 8-under 64 to come back from being three shots down at the start of the day and won a match play type duel on the final nine with one of the hottest players of 2020, Xander Schauffele.
“Couldn’t be happier,” said Kokrak.
