Mack Daddy Gets Into The (Extra) Groove

This addition to the Mack Daddy wedge family is notable first and foremost for being forged of 1025c steel. Players also will notice that it features less offset, a squarer toe and a straighter leading edge.

Progressive center-of-gravity positioning is designed to promote a lower and easier-to-control flight in the higher lofts without sacrificing the spin that comes from a clubface that incorporates an extra groove at the bottom to provide even more stopping power on pitches and chips.

Crafted by noted equipment maker Roger Cleveland, the Mack Daddy forged wedges boast a new R-sole grind designed to endow them with a versatility that enables golfers to use them effectively from all kinds of grasses and lies.

The clubs are available in two finishes – satin chrome, which features a thin, copper strike layer, and brushed slate, for what Cleveland describes as a raw look that gradually rusts over time – and lofts from 50 to 60 degrees. They also come with True Temper’s Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts stock and Lamkin UTx grips.
