Available at Worldwide Golf in the Phantom 5 OC Spec III and Phantom 11R OC Spec III, the limited-edition releases bring that distinctive presentation to two familiar Phantom mallet shapes while adding Scotty Cameron’s Onset Center approach to the stroke.

Onset Center Changes How the Putter Wants to Move

The OC designation stands for Onset Center, describing where the shaft is positioned relative to the head.

It sits behind the leading edge and aligns with the center of gravity, reducing the putter’s tendency to twist as it moves. The result is a low-torque configuration intended to promote a square-to-the-path delivery for golfers who favor a straighter motion.

Scotty Cameron deliberately calls the design low torque, believing that some torque is introduced whenever a golfer makes a putting stroke. Within the Scotty Cameron lineup, however, OC represents the company’s lowest-torque approach.

A subtle 1-degree forward shaft lean maintains familiar hand positioning at setup.

Spec III Takes Its Cue From the Automotive World

The Spec III name draws inspiration from highly optimized automotive builds in which individual components are selected to work together as a complete package.

Here, that treatment begins with a durable black PVD finish designed to reduce glare. Three contrasting sightlines run across the top to frame the golf ball and establish a clear starting direction.

A black steel shaft and custom 11-inch mid-size Matador grip carry the theme from the sole through the hands, giving both putters a coordinated appearance.

Phantom 5 OC Spec III Keeps Things Compact

The Scotty Cameron Phantom 5 OC Spec III uses the compact wingback shape that has become a fixture within the Phantom family and has seen extensive use on professional tours.

Its full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert features chain-link milling, reducing the face’s contact points with the ball to soften sound while maintaining responsive feedback.

For golfers who prefer a smaller mallet appearance but are interested in Scotty Cameron’s OC configuration, the Phantom 5 provides that combination in a right-handed model.

Phantom 11R OC Spec III Goes Bigger and Rounder

The Scotty Cameron Phantom 11R OC Spec III brings the same shaft concept to a broader, rounded mallet with a high-MOI design.

Rather than using the carbon-steel insert found in the Phantom 5, the 11R incorporates full-face chain-link milling directly into its face to produce its own soft, responsive impact character.

Its larger geometry gives golfers a distinctly different view behind the ball, and the 11R is also the only one of the two Spec III models offered in both right- and left-handed versions.

Heavier Heads Help Preserve Feel

Reducing torque didn’t mean Scotty Cameron wanted to remove the golfer’s sense of the clubhead during the stroke.

The OC builds use head weights that are 15 grams heavier, paired with a slightly stiffer shaft engineered to maintain the flex characteristics needed for feedback through the hands.

That relationship between head and shaft is especially important in a design intended to reduce unwanted rotation while still keeping the golfer connected to the motion of the putter.

Shared Specs Make the Choice About Shape

Both Phantom OC Spec III models are available in 33-, 34- and 35-inch lengths, with 3.5 degrees of loft and a 70-degree lie angle.

With those fundamentals shared, the decision largely comes down to which head gives the golfer the preferred view and presence behind the ball: the compact wingback profile of the Phantom 5 OC Spec III or the larger rounded form of the Phantom 11R OC Spec III.
