Mizuno introduces new line of ST drivers, fairways and hybrids
It’s Show Time at Mizuno Golf as the company has unveiled a new generation of ST drivers and a set of fresh fairway metals and hybrids.
The new drivers – the ST-X and ST-Z – strive to give golfers one of the most elusive assets in the game: consistency.
Made with carbon composite construction, the ST drivers are engineered to help golfers produce more efficient drives and higher ball speeds. The ST-Z offers a club with a straight ball flight while the ST-X boasts a high draw bias aided by a heel side sole weight.
“The ST-X’s extra spin, slight draw bias and higher flight will add driving distance for a surprising number of players,” said Chris Voshall, Director of Product Development. “The ST-Z is the most played of all our drivers. It’s a modern driver for players who have grown up hitting long straight bombs rather than shaping the ball.”
Other highlights of the drivers include a 40 percent larger sole carbon surface area, a thinner titanium sole, an 80-percent increased back weight, and a forged beta titanium face.
In addition to the drivers, Mizuno is offering new metal woods that include the ST-Z fairways (3 and 5) with low spin performance and an adjustable hosel, and the ST-X 220 fairway (3, 5 and 7) and ST-X 220 hybrid that offer a high draw flight bias.
