Titleist’s new TSR drivers and fairway woods prove their mettle with the pros
The arrival of summer the third week of June brought with it an extra benefit – the introduction of new Titleist TSR drivers and fairway metals. As part of Titleist’s “tour seeding and validation” process, the company put the new sticks in the hands of their PGA Tour pros during Travelers Championship week to acquire performance feedback.
The response was swift, and positive.
The successor to the wildly successful TSi line, the TSR driver was quickly adopted by Jordan Spieth. J.T. Poston popped the TSR driver and 3-wood into his bag, and immediately finished T2 at the Travelers, then won the following week at the John Deere Classic. Lanto Griffin was smitten with the new 3-wood and 7-wood.
The TSR products include the TSR2, TSR3 and TSR4 drivers, as well as the TSR2, TSR 2+ and TSR3 fairway metals. The TSR2 and TSR4 drivers have non-adjustable weight ports in the rear, while the TSR3 features an adjustable weight port with five settings: two in the toe, two in the heel and one neutral. Drivers are available with lofts ranging from 8 to 11 degrees.
