With a birdie on the 72nd hole, Justin Rose won the Turkish Airlines Open, his second title in as many weeks. Rose shot 69-68-64-65 for an 18-under 266 total at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort.

“I think this is the first time I’ve gone back to back in my career, literally week on week,” Rose said. “So to roll some form into another tournament immediately is wonderful. … Every win is different. You never get tired of it, and each (win) challenges you in different ways, so you’re always learning a new skill every time you win. So today I think the most exciting thing for me was going head to head down the stretch.”M2_2016

Rose was tied at 17 under with Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts and South Africa’s Dylan Fritelli before the 37-year-old Englishman made his birdie putt on the par-4 18th to clinch his 10th European Tour victory.

Since missing the cut at the PGA Championship in August, Rose has won twice, finished second and posted three 10th-place finishes.

Rose’s victory in Turkey followed his triumph at the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament in China. Je became just the third player (Tiger Woods, 2007; Rory McIlroy, 2014) to follow a World Golf Championship victory with another win the next week.

Rose is now second in the Race to Dubai Rankings, surpassing Sergio Garcia, who didn’t play in Turkey.P-790

He is 134, 838 points behind Tommy Fleetwood. Rose is looking to win the Race to Dubai for the second time in his career.

“I’m going to stick to my schedule now that I’ve laid it out,” said Rose, who plans to forgo this week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa before competing in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. “(this) week is really important for me, even though I’m not playing … I’m going to catch up with my coaches, catch up on my physio, just get my body feeling good, and come back for Dubai and give myself the best possible chance.”
