A smoother stroke might be closer than you think. With the arrival of the new TaylorMade Spider ZT putters at Worldwide Golf, players looking for more stability and control on the greens have a fresh lineup to explore – one that blends the signature Spider design with a toe-up configuration and zero-torque balance.
TaylorMade has spent more than 15 years refining its Spider family, and the Spider ZT takes that evolution a step further. Built with high-MOI construction, advanced materials, and a focus on consistent roll, the putter isn’t chasing trends – it’s addressing the real movements that happen in your putting stroke.
Less Twist, More Roll
The defining change with the Spider ZT is its “Zero Torque” balance. By placing the center of gravity directly in line with the shaft and leaning it slightly forward, TaylorMade effectively reduces the amount of unwanted face rotation during the stroke. The result? A putter face that stays more square to your target line, and putts that hold their line with greater reliability.
The design doesn’t ask players to adjust their mechanics. Instead, it meets their stroke where it is, offering stability that feels intuitive and consistent from takeaway to follow-through.
Multi-Material Build for High MOI
A major part of that stability comes from the Spider ZT’s multi-material construction. TaylorMade uses 303 stainless steel in the face and 6061 aluminum in the back to shift weight to the perimeter. With three precisely placed tungsten weights, the putter head resists twisting even on off-center contact.
That forgiveness is a hallmark of the Spider name – and in the ZT, it’s matched with a milled look and feel that speaks to both form and function.
New Look, Familiar Feel
The Spider ZT keeps what players have come to expect from Spider putters, such as the Pure Roll insert that promotes a forward, end-over-end roll with clean sound and responsive feel. But it introduces a new True Path alignment system: fine milled lines across the top of the face that equal the width of a golf ball, helping players consistently center their setup.
The sole design has also been refined, allowing the putter to sit naturally at address regardless of hand position or stance style. From setup to impact, everything about the ZT works in service of a repeatable stroke.
Available in Three Builds
Whether you prefer a standard-length putter, a counterbalanced feel, or a long broomstick-style model, Spider ZT offers all three:
• Standard Length (33”, 34”, 35”): 370g head, KBS CT Putter 120 shaft, SuperStroke Pistol 1.0 grip
• Counterbalance (36”, 38”): 395g head, graphite shaft, SuperStroke 2.0XL grip
• Long (46”): 470g head, 17” SuperStroke 3.0 grip, 79° lie angle
Each variation is outfitted with a bold blue sole plate, distinctive spider branding, and a headcover that brings the look together.
