Mizuno adds to its JPX 923 Hot Metal irons with new Forged and Tour versions

There’s more hot stuff in store this year from Mizuno Golf. Adding to its JPX923 Hot Metal series of irons launched last year, the company has unveiled the accompanying JPX923 Forged and Tour versions. That increases the JPX923 family to five models, each designed for a golfer’s specific needs.

The new JPX923 Tour model offers golfers precision, control and feel, while the Forged provides similar features, but a touch more distance. Previous editions include the Hot Metal (for straight up maximum distance), the Hot Metal Pro (a distance iron with a thinner top line and sole), and the Hot Metal HL (for players who want speed but need higher launch and stopping power on the greens). 

“Every model revolves around the new V-Chassis, which allowed us to dial in a very typical Mizuno vibration pattern without the need to thicken the top lines,” said Mizuno Club Engineer Chris Voshall. “So they’re all nicely in proportion for their size.”

All five models are also engineered for custom performance and were developed using swing DNA data from hundreds of thousands of golfers.
