Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience the thrill of one of the biggest tournaments of the year first hand at Augusta? If you’re an avid golfer, the chances are that you have.

Every April, Augusta opens its doors to the world’s best golfers, both past, and present, for the first major tournament of the year. Arguably one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world, it truly is an experience of a lifetime.

The-Masters-Amen-Corner

Over the years, this tournament has seen some of the sport’s most iconic moments in golf history: Nicklaus’ win in 86’, Tiger’s chip on 16 in 05′ and Bubba Watson’s hooked wedge from the trees in 2012 to name just a few. It’s no doubt that the game has changed over time but there is one thing that has remained constant. Tradition. From the Champions Dinner to the caddies’ white boiler suits, there are some unique quirks that make it an absolute must for any golf fan.

Now you can experience it all for yourself! Golfbreaks.com is offering a fantastic selection of stay, play, and watch packages, including access to all seven days at Augusta. The Open 2018

Known as one of the hardest and most punishing Open Championship courses, Carnoustie is a harsh links-style course located along the stunning Angus coastline. Widely renowned for its tight fairways and tough pot bunkers, it is also the longest Open venue at 7,421 yards. The course has played host to this major championship seven times, most recently in 2007 where Sergio Garcia came close in a thriller but was bested in the play-off by Padraig Harrington and 2018 promises to be another special year.

2018 Ryder Cup

Moving on from the strong 2016 Ryder Cup campaign at Hazeltine, Team USA looks to retain the famous trophy on foreign soil, this time in Paris, France. With multiple major championship winners likely to be in the ranks (Spieth, Walker, Johnson, Koepka), the spirits of Team USA will be high.

However, team Europe appears to have an advantage this time around, having lost just once on home soil since 1985. Despite the recent defeat, they’ll be brimming with confidence in the build-up to 2018.

Located on the outskirts of Paris in Versailles, Le Golf National’s l’Albatros course is a familiar track for members of the European Tour. Previously hosting 24 French Opens and described by Colin Montgomerie as “one of the most demanding courses in Europe,” Golf National has some serious pedigree. It truly is a fantastic design with a combination of traditional links-style holes, modern target golf features, and many greens surrounded by water. This course is a major risk/reward style that will require both Ryder Cup teams to be on top of their game.

For golf fans, there is nothing more thrilling than watching a Ryder Cup live – the atmosphere, comradery, and competitiveness is unrivaled by any other golf event. Golfbreaks.com is now offering a Ryder Cup Package so that you too can have the golf experience of a lifetime. Click here to learn how you can experience the Ryder Cup first hand!

2019 Solheim Cup

Since its inception in 1990, team USA has been a dominant force in the Solheim Cup. But Team Europe has come fighting back, with their most famous win coming at Loch Lomond, the last time matches were played on the British Isle.

USA legend Juli Inkster has reinvigorated the American team, resulting in back-to-back victories in 2015 and 2017, 2015 being the closest Solheim Cup since its inception. But with a host of young talent likely to be in the ranks – Hull, Pedersen, Hall – and experienced major winners – Nordqvist, Matthew – and home soil advantage at Gleneagles’ PGA Centenary Course, the confidence of Team Europe is likely to be high going into 2019!

The Scottish masterpiece, Gleneagles’ PGA Centenary Course, is no stranger to major tournament play, previously hosting the Women’s British Open, Ryder Cup, and WPGA Championship.

Located in Perthshire, Scotland, golf at Gleneagles is a direct inspiration by some of the greats of the game. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the PGA Centenary Course is both challenging and rewarding – providing the perfect stage for golf’s biggest spectacle.

The Solheim Cup is the ultimate prize in the women’s game, and you could be at Gleneagles in 2019 cheering on Team USA. The 16th edition of the famous competition promises to be a golfing spectacle, returning to Scotland for the first time since 2000.
