Annapolis, Maryland is known for many things – including Worldwide Golf Shops’ latest acquisition

The city of Annapolis, Maryland, is well known for its colonial architecture, an abundance of seafood restaurants, and the presence of the United States Naval Academy.

It’s also known for Duke’s Golf.

Conveniently located on Old Solomons Island Road, Duke’s Golf has been serving players in the area for 28 years. Originally owned and established in 1994 by the late Duke Kessling, the store was taken over by two of his senior employees, Tom Kirby and Kevin Mullen, in 2007, and was acquired by Worldwide Golf Shops last August.

Duke’s Golf features a 4,500-square-foot store with a highly experienced staff and a great selection of equipment for men, women, and juniors. The store also offers the best selection of women’s clothing, accessories, and bags in the area, Kirby said.

In addition, there are two hitting bays with launch monitors in the store so golfers can experiment with different clubs to see which ones perform the best with their swing. There also is a putting green and a repair center that offers “very quick turnaround on club repairs,” Kirby said.

As part of the Worldwide Golf Shops family, Duke’s Golf will be able to provide an even bigger and better selection of clubs, shoes, and apparel and customers will still be able to experience the same stellar customer service the store has been known for as it is also an important operating principle of Worldwide Golf Shops, which offers an industry-leading 90-day satisfaction guarantee.

Other services at Duke’s Golf include the ability to receive trade-in value for used clubs toward the purchase of new equipment, and custom fitting.
