ORLANDO, Fla. — Earlier this year during our interview with Bryson DeChambeau on our Worldwide Golf Shops Insider Podcast, we asked Bryson what we could expect from him in 2021.
He replied, “More speed.”
Speed, both clubhead and golf ball, was certainly on display this week as it helped Bryson DeChambeau best Lee Westwood by one on Sunday to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
However, the other parts of his game were clicking on all cylinders as well. DeChambeau holed a 37-foot birdie putt on the front nine and a 36-foot par putt early on the back nine. He closed it out with a tester from five feet for par to finish with a 1-under 71 and a one-shot victory over the 47-year-old Westwood.
