The quickest way to lose strokes on the green isn’t missing a read — it’s leaving putts short or racing them past the hole. That’s the problem Scotty Cameron set out to address with the new Phantom mallet putters, now available at Worldwide Golf.
For 2026, Scotty Cameron has reworked its tour-inspired Phantom family from the face insert all the way down to the sole, keeping the familiar shapes players trust while refining the details that matter most.
What’s New in the Phantom Lineup
The latest Phantom mallet putters center on three proven head shapes – Phantom 5, 7, and 9R – each offered in multiple neck and shaft configurations to match different strokes and preferences. The goal is simple: provide clear options without forcing golfers into a one-style-fits-all design.
Studio Carbon Steel Face Inserts
Every 2026 Phantom features a full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert paired with chain-link face milling. Carbon steel naturally dampens sound more than many other metals, and the chain-link pattern reduces contact points at impact. The result is a softer sound when you stroke a putt and consistent ball speed across the face, especially helpful on longer putts where distance control matters most.
Expanded Neck and Shaft Options
Across the three head shapes, golfers can choose from mid-bend, plumbing neck, jet neck, and double-bend. Each setup is designed to influence toe flow and face balance differently, making it easier to find a model that fits how the putter moves through the stroke.
Tour-Influenced Shaping Updates
Subtle changes can make a big difference at address. The new Phantom putters feature slightly deeper faces, a softened topline radius, and refined crowns that help the putter sit naturally behind the ball. A flatter, more stable sole design also helps the putter rest consistently on different lies – feedback that came directly from tour testing, including input from Justin Thomas.
