Lie Angle Balance. It is more than just the name behind L.A.B. Golf – it is the concept that has reshaped how many golfers think about putting.
By designing putters that naturally return to square throughout the stroke, L.A.B. Golf has taken a scientific approach to one of the game’s most feel-driven elements. The result is a lineup of flatsticks built to make putting more repeatable and more rewarding.
From the compact confidence of the MEZZ.1 to the tour-driven precision of the OZ.1, each model offers a different path to the same goal: helping golfers roll the ball where they are aiming.
Available at Worldwide Golf, L.A.B. putters provide a new experience for players looking to quiet the variables and build consistency on the greens.
The Story Behind L.A.B. Golf
L.A.B. Golf was founded with a single purpose: to remove unnecessary complication from the putting stroke. Most golfers have experienced days where the feel just disappears – when speed control vanishes or the face angle seems impossible to manage. L.A.B. Golf believes that those issues are not always rooted in the stroke itself but in the design of the putter.
By introducing Lie Angle Balance, the company created a system where the putter head stays square to the arc naturally. No torque, no twisting – just a consistent face angle that matches the motion of the stroke. For many players, this has translated into fewer compensations and more confident rolls.
L.A.B. putters are engineered, assembled, and hand-balanced in Oregon, where each model is fine-tuned to deliver feedback, forgiveness, and a smoother experience on the green.
Top L.A.B. Models Available at Worldwide Golf
Worldwide Golf carries a wide range of L.A.B. putters, including some of the latest designs and colorways. Here are five standout models now available:
L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1
The L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 features a streamlined profile that offers a clean look at address and a stable feel through the stroke, thanks to full Lie Angle Balance technology. Its mid-mallet head is crafted from anodized 6061 aircraft aluminum with a 303 brushed stainless steel midsection, combining durability with responsive feedback. Offered in a 35-inch length, the MEZZ.1 accommodates a wide range of putting styles and preferences. Worldwide Golf carries a model in black and one in a charcoal finish that adds a stealthier look while maintaining the same performance benefits.
L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 MAX
Building on the success of the original, the MEZZ.1 MAX increases the head size by 20 percent to enhance forgiveness and stability. Like its smaller sibling, it features a CNC-milled body made from 6061 aircraft aluminum, paired with a 303 stainless steel midsection to refine feel at impact. Each putter is individually hand-balanced and tuned, allowing golfers to experience a consistent roll across a variety of stroke types. Now available in blue, red, or black finishes, the MEZZ.1 MAX offers a bold visual identity to match its advanced design. Standard length options include 34 or 35 inches, and each model is built with a 69-degree lie angle and 2.5 degrees of loft.
L.A.B. Golf OZ.1 and OZ.1i
Born from a design collaboration with Adam Scott, the OZ.1 Counter Balance putter is L.A.B. Golf’s first half-moon mallet, created to blend a clean aesthetic with solid-body construction and Lie Angle Balance. The OZ.1 maintains the feel and stability L.A.B. is known for while offering a more traditional sound and shape.
For players who prefer a firmer feel and faster ball speed, the OZ.1i includes a stainless steel face insert that changes the acoustics and adds a bit more pop at impact.
Both versions were fine-tuned with direct feedback from Scott, resulting in a tour-inspired shape that balances performance and feel.
L.A.B. Golf DF3 Sweeper
The DF3 is the evolution of the original Directed Force putter, reimagined in a smaller and more refined shape. It features the same Lie Angle Balance performance but sets up more traditionally at address. A central cutout not only lightens the head but doubles as a handy ball retriever known as the “Gimme Getter.”
The model is part of L.A.B.’s Sweeper lineup – designed for players who prefer a more upright setup and a straighter stroke path.
The Takeaway
L.A.B. Golf has taken a fresh approach to one of the most fickle parts of the game, and the results speak for themselves. By reducing torque and encouraging a naturally square path, the putters give golfers more freedom to focus on speed, line, and rhythm.
