New PING G440 K Drivers Push Forgiveness to the Forefront

PING’s new G440 K drivers are changing expectations – and setting records. With the highest MOI the company has ever achieved in a driver, the G440 K leads the way in forgiveness while offering faster ball speeds and adjustable weight settings to help fine-tune ball flight. It’s the newest addition to the G440 family and is now available at Worldwide Golf

The “K” in the name stands for “10K,” a nod to its MOI milestone – but there’s more under the hood than just numbers.

Built to Keep the Ball in Play

At the heart of the G440 K is PING’s Dual Carbonfly Wrap, a carbon composite used in both the crown and sole. The material change saves weight, which is then redistributed into a high-density tungsten back weight. That move deepens and lowers the center of gravity, which helps stabilize the club at impact and reduce twisting, especially on off-center strikes.

The adjustable back weight is four grams heavier than the one used in the previous G430 MAX 10K, and it can be shifted into three positions (Draw, Neutral, Fade) to help straighten out a fade or fine-tune your trajectory.

Speed Where It Counts

Forgiveness is one thing, but speed matters too. PING didn’t ignore that. The G440 K features a refined version of its forged T9S+ face, with a slightly shallower shape and variable thickness pattern that flexes more evenly across the entire surface. The result is better ball-speed retention across the face – most notably in areas where many players tend to miss, such as the high heel.

The driver also carries over PING’s Spinsistency design, which helps keep spin rates more consistent on mis-hits and contributes to more predictable distances.

Sound You Can Feel

Switching to carbon components often alters how a driver sounds, but PING engineers built in a crown bridge and sole ribs to maintain the brand’s preferred acoustic profile. The result is a solid, slightly muted impact that gives players a confident feel without harshness. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a difference.

In addition to the G440 K, above, PING has introduced a High Launch version of the driver as well.

Lighter Build, Higher Launch

For players with slower swing speeds, the G440 K HL (High Launch) version offers an alternative. It’s engineered with an ultra-lightweight shaft, grip, and back weight, making it easier to generate club head speed and launch the ball higher. This setup is useful for players looking to add carry distance without swinging harder.

Part of a Bigger Family

The G440 K joins PING’s full G440 driver lineup, which also includes the MAX, SFT, and LST models. Each is designed for a different performance profile, from low spin to slice correction to all-around versatility. The addition of the G440 K, which is also available in a women’s model, gives players one more option to explore.
