Callaway takes Apex to the next level with new irons & hybrids
All of the irons are made with a Tungsten Energy Core that increases forgiveness, and proprietary urethane microspheres that create a desirable sound and feel at impact.
“This is what you want in a forged iron,” said PGA Tour star Xander Schauffele. “Everything from the performance to the feel, launch and control is so dialed in. It’s that good.”
The Apex 21 and Apex 21 Pro irons both fall into the players category with the former offering more distance and the latter providing better performance. The DCB (deep cavity back) irons extend the Apex offerings to a wider group of golfers, and combine the look, feel and performance of the forged players irons but with more forgiveness.
The hybrids, which come in the Apex 21 and Apex Pro 21 models, feature the new Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades that are designed to increase vertical stiffness near the sole of the club to help players get more speed lower on the face where mis-hits often occur. The Apex 21 is suited for a wide range of players, while the Apex Pro features an iron-like design and fixed hosel that more skilled players prefer.
