Sergio Garcia | Sanderson Farms Championship

Sergio Garcia came through with two big shots on the back nine, the final one an 8-iron to inside three feet on the final hole for birdie and a one-shot victory in the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Sergio fired a 5-under 67 and won for his 10th consecutive year worldwide, and his first win PGA TOUR since the 2017 Masters.

Also this week, a secret came out. During one of the week’s press conferences, it was brought up that it appeared that Garcia had been putting with his eyes closed.

“Would you believe me if I told you I’ve been doing it for about three years?” Garcia asked. “(At) Augusta I won it playing with my eyes closed every single putt and some of the other wins, too.

“I would love to putt with my eyes open, but I feel like my stroke is more consistent when I kind of try to forget about it and just kind of feel it,” he said. “I’ve tried to putt with my eyes open again here and there and I tried it at the U.S. Open a couple of weeks ago, obviously didn’t work very well, I tried a couple of other weeks, and I seem to lose a lot of consistency on it.”
