Callaway brings Epic technology to hybrids; adds bite JAWS wedges
There are legions of golfers out there who are either longtime Callaway diehards or who became converts to the brand thanks to the addition of its Epic line of drivers. And both groups will be eager to get their hands on the equipment maker’s recently released Epic Super Hybrids.
Simply put, the clubs offer driver DNA in a hybrid, and the Epic Super Hybrids are the most technologically advanced clubs Callaway has ever produced in the category. They feature an all-titanium Flash Face, titanium body, and triaxial carbon crown. Patented Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades stiffen the body, allowing more face flex, and tungsten perimeter weighting up to 90 grams results in a low center of gravity and high moment of inertia for a high, powerful, and stable ball flight.
Perhaps most attractive is that the Epic Super Hybrids feature all the adjustability of Epic drivers, thanks to an OptiFit 3 hosel and adjustable sole weighting for precise custom builds that can help golfers dial in the ball flight that best suits their game on all types of longer shots.
Also recently launched is Callaway’s JAWS Full Toe Wedge line, giving golfers improved control on numerous types of shots around the green, including chips, pitches, flop shots, bunker shots, and full approach swings.
Dubbed as “the ultimate spin machine,” JAWS features the most aggressive grooves in golf, extended across the face to provide spin no matter where you make contact.
Offset groove-in-groove technology combined with a raw face increases surface roughness, and the toe shape pushes the center of gravity higher, promoting a lower and more controlled trajectory.
