Earning a black belt is all about control – calm, repeatable and precise when it matters most.
That same idea applies on the greens, where confidence and repeatability often separate good putters from great ones. Odyssey’s new Square 2 Square TRI-HOT Black putters are designed with that goal in mind, pairing the company’s latest zero-torque technology with an all-black finish and several of its most recognizable head shapes.
Now available at Worldwide Golf, the Square 2 Square TRI-HOT Black lineup gives golfers another way to experience one of the fastest-growing categories in putting.
What Is a Zero-Torque Putter?

Zero-torque putters are designed to reduce the tendency of the putter face to rotate during the stroke.
The goal is straightforward: help the face stay square more naturally without requiring as much manipulation from the golfer’s hands.
As interest in zero-torque putters continues to grow, manufacturers have introduced a variety of approaches to putter design.
Multi-Material Construction Drives the Design
At the heart of the TRI-HOT Black putters is a multi-material build that combines aluminum, steel and more than 140 grams of tungsten.
According to Odyssey, more than 80 percent of the putter’s weight is positioned beneath the topline. The company says this approach helps create the weight distribution needed for the putter’s zero-torque design while allowing the shaft to enter through the topline and work with the Single Bend (SB) configuration found throughout much of the lineup.
Updated Insert and Groove Technology

Odyssey also refined the face technology in the family.
The Ai-DUAL Insert combines a soft outer urethane layer with a firmer inner layer. Developed using artificial intelligence, it is designed to help produce more uniform ball speeds while preserving the soft feel Odyssey is known for.
Working alongside the insert is Odyssey’s new Forward Roll Design (F.R.D.) groove pattern. The deeper groove structure and aggressive 19-degree slope are engineered to improve forward roll and promote more predictable launch conditions.
Six Models, Multiple Setup Options

The new TRI-HOT family includes six models:
• Odyssey Square 2 Square TRI-HOT #7 Putter – Black
• Odyssey Square 2 Square TRI-HOT #7 SB Putter – Black
• Odyssey Square 2 Square TRI-HOT #7 Cruiser SB Putter – Black
• Odyssey Square 2 Square TRI-HOT Rossie SB Putter – Black
• Odyssey Square 2 Square TRI-HOT Jailbird Putter – Black
• Odyssey Square 2 Square TRI-HOT Jailbird SB Putter – Black
The lineup gives golfers a variety of alignment styles, head shapes and setup preferences while maintaining the same core technology platform.
Golfers who prefer the iconic winged shape can look to the #7 models, while the Rossie provides a rounded mid-mallet option. The Jailbird delivers a high-MOI profile with bold alignment features, and the Cruiser version offers a longer, heavier configuration for players who prefer additional stability.
An All-Black Look From Top To Bottom

The visual theme is simple: a black finish from head to shaft.
A new Black SL 120 shaft provides a heavier, stiffer profile developed from Tour player feedback, while Odyssey’s Pistol Plus grip features a midsize design intended to improve awareness of the putter face throughout the stroke.
Combined with clean alignment lines and a dark finish, the result is a sleek appearance that stands out without being distracting.
