With its new line of F-Max drivers, Cobra Golf is looking to help the slower swing-speed players with lightweight clubs that are designed to bolster distance and forgiveness.
Among their most important features is the forged, Ti-6-4 titanium face insert, which possesses a larger Sweet Zone and is made to help deliver more speed on tee shots no matter where the club makes contact with the ball
The back/heel center of gravity weighting was created to promote a more forgiving and higher ball flight, while an alignment feature on the crown is included to make it easier to hit fairways. And lighter-weight shafts assist in further elevating clubhead speed, for greater distance.
“In my experience teaching golfers of all skill levels, I have seen firsthand that many amateurs struggle to create speed and optimal launch,” says Claude Harmon III, a leading instructor and PGA golf professional as well as an ambassador for Cobra Puma gear. “The Cobra F-Max was designed specifically with this moderate, or slower, swing-speed player in mind. With lighter swing weights, lightweight shafts and greater lofts, F-Max equipment will help make it easier for golfers to get the ball up in the air and hit it farther and straighter every time.”
The Cobra F-Max drivers come in offset or straight-neck hosel versions and are available in lofts of 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degrees for men, and 15 degrees for women.
