A Guide to the Latest PING i240 and iDi Irons

Looking to gain more control over your approach shots or find a reliable option off the tee when accuracy matters most? PING’s latest releases – the i240 irons and iDi utility irons – offer smart solutions for golfers who want added performance without giving up feel. Now available at Worldwide Golf, both sets are designed with the needs of serious players in mind.

i240 Irons: A Clean Look with Forgiveness Under the Hood

The i240 irons, available in men’s and women’s models, blend the sleek profile of a players iron with subtle game-improvement technology to help make the most of every swing. Featuring a true cavity-back design, the irons offer a more traditional shape while incorporating modern materials and weight distribution to increase forgiveness – especially in the longer irons.

Inside the head, PING uses a 431 stainless steel body, an elastomer insert, and a lightweight carbon-inlaid badge to save weight and reposition it where it helps most. The result? A lower center of gravity for higher launch, more stability, and consistent carry distances.

Groove spacing has also been adjusted for more spin control from the fairway, and with multiple loft configurations available, players have more ways to match their irons to the shape and trajectory they prefer.

iDi Utility Irons: Built for the Top of the Bag

PING’s new iDi utility irons deliver speed, control, and feel – all in a compact, tour-inspired shape.

For players looking to bridge the gap between irons and woods, PING’s new iDi utility irons present a versatile, high-performance option designed with better players in mind. Available in 2 (17°), 3 (20°), and 4 (23°) irons, each model is tuned to deliver a specific launch and spin profile, giving players more control over how they attack the course from longer distances.

The standout innovation here is inR-Air, a small air pocket inside the head that dampens sound and improves feel. Combined with a forged maraging steel face and a 17-4 stainless steel body, the construction enhances ball speed while keeping vibration in check. The thinner face flexes at impact for increased energy transfer, which helps generate the kind of ball speed and launch angles that better players demand – whether off the tee or from the fairway.

To fine-tune shotmaking, the iDi is shorter heel-to-toe with a flatter lie angle and a more compact footprint than its predecessors. A new i-Beam structure and covered cavity further improve feel while boosting forgiveness on high and low misses. Plus, the enhanced sole design – featuring added bounce and more camber – promotes cleaner turf interaction across a variety of lies.

Built for Control. Designed to Perform

Whether you’re chasing a tighter shot pattern, a more playable long iron, or just a better feel through the ball, these new additions from PING deliver a combination of technology and design that speaks to the needs of today’s dedicated golfers.
