Callaway Golf officials say that the latest iteration of their Supersoft golf ball is designed to improve on its original performance attributes: distance, accuracy and greenside control.
A new, low-compression core that spins less off the longer clubs produces greater distance, they assert.
So does the use of low-drag HEX aerodynamics, and the more refined surface contours on this two-piece product are designed to enhance lift and carry. And less spin also means less sidespin, which promotes straighter and more accurate ball flight.
Then there is the employment of a softer tri-ionomer cover formulation, which is made to provide better feel, especially around the green, and more wedge spin.
“Supersoft’s long-soft performance has made it one of the most popular products in our golf ball lineup,” says Dave Bartels, the senior director of golf ball R&D at Callaway. “The improvements we’ve made should continue to grow the popularity of what we believe is the one of the best-engineered two-piece balls on the market.”
The Supersoft ball is available in white, yellow and pink, and also in multi-color packs that include white, yellow, orange and blue.
