Foresight GCQuad Review

The unit from our Foresight GCQuad review.

There are launch monitors available at just about every price point, but as golfers lower their handicaps or even get involved in some tournament/semi-pro play, their needs begin to exceed the accuracy and feature set of more basic launch monitors. When practicing, trying out new gear, and even having fun in the simulator, the highest-level golfers need the highest-level tools to analyze their game, as the variance between each shot will be smaller and harder to perceive and measure than it was earlier in their golf journey.

For those willing to invest in the best, the Foresight GCQuad represents the pinnacle of what the launch monitor/simulator market has to offer– on paper, at least. But does it live up to the reputation in reality?

In our Foresight GCQuad review, we will cover:

  • Spec/feature list
  • Pros and cons
  • Final verdict
  • Where to buy one

Let’s dive into each and figure out if the Foresight GCQuad is worth its premium price tag.

Foresight GCQuad Spec and Feature List

The GCQuad has an extensive list of features, quality-of-life improvements, and specifications that make it an extremely precise, versatile, and comprehensive data collection tool. This makes it tough to touch on everything in our commentary, and doing so would simply replace this necessary info with fluff.

To properly and efficiently illustrate how premium of a unit the GCQuad is, we have included a full spec and features list:

While this is a full feature and spec list for the launch monitor, it doesn’t even begin to illustrate all that is available within the GCQuad when it comes to home simulation. The accuracy of the quadrascopic camera technology, generous hitting zone, and the number of metrics they measure all make for the most immersive and entertaining simulator experience available today. While this unit shines the most in enhancing high-level golf practice, don’t underestimate the fun it can provide if purchased with a quality simulator setup.

The Foresight GCQuad launch monitor carries a premium price tag comparable with its premium features ($15,999). To get a simulator setup to go along with it, it will run another $1-3 thousand. But golf can get expensive, and a simulator package with a GCQuad launch monitor is an absolute dream for golfers who prioritize having the best of the best.

Pros and Cons

While the Foresight GCQuad is admittedly one of the most feature-rich and accurate systems on the market, it is important to consider the pros and cons when buying any golf equipment:

Pros Cons
✔ Industry-leading accuracy
✔ Massive hitting zone
✔ Extensive ball and club metrics list (all measured, not estimated)
✔ Putting analysis alone makes unit worth buying over those that don’t have it
✘ Expensive

Trust us, we tried to find cons for the GCQuad. The only thing we came up with is, yes, it is a pricey launch monitor. As far as value, though, the price becomes much easier to stomach when you realize it leaves nothing on the table in terms of features, accuracy, and simulation quality. Not just that, but it also offers one of the most generous hitting zones on the market, making it a tool that can be used anywhere that one can golf. Whether you’re practicing in a simulator setup, clearing a bucket at the range, or playing on the course, the GCQuad can make sure you know every little detail about every shot you take.

Foresight GCQuad Review Final Verdict

The Foresight GCQuad is a truly innovative launch monitor and simulator unit. While there are cheaper monitors that will display the same number of metrics as the GCQuad, many of them can’t actually measure all of them, and what you’re seeing are estimates based on the things they are capable of measuring. The GCQuad uses four cameras, infrared technology, and a barometric sensor to ensure that every variable is measured and accounted for in simulations. For the highest-level golfers, estimations just don’t cut it, as the margin for error in those estimations can easily eclipse the actual variance between a great golfer’s shots.

As a result, we believe the Foresight GCQuad is the best simulator on the market. Even considering its price, there are few units that provide the same value. For the high-level golfer, there really isn’t anything the GCQuad doesn’t offer, and the investment will almost certainly pay off long-term in the form of better play so long as golfers act on the data given by the monitor.
