Buying new golf clubs can be overwhelming, as so many configurations, alterations, and accessories can be applied to each club. The best way to understand the perfect setup for you is to get a professional club fitting at a specialty golf shop. This isn’t an option for everyone though, and a golf club size chart is a way to get one of the simpler measurables down if you already know the other details about the clubs you want.
Different clubs in your bag are meant to be different lengths relative to each other. There are even differences in length between different models of clubs in the same category, like different drivers. As a result, our size chart isn’t going to include the exact length of the club you need, but rather how big of an adjustment will be needed from the standard size of that club. This adjustment can be applied equally to every club in your bag, though some may go a bit longer or shorter depending on their preference in clubs like their driver and putter.
You’ll need to consider two measurements of yours: your height, and your wrist-to-floor measurement. To take the wrist-to-floor measurement, rest your arms at your sides and have someone measure the distance between your wrist and the floor.
Then, once you have your height and wrist-to-floor measurement, refer to our size chart below. The horizontal axis is your height (in feet/inches), and along the vertical axis is your wrist-to-floor measurement (in inches):
The length of your club dictates whether you can hold it at the proper angle when taking your swing. This makes it easier to get solid contact every time without having to compensate by compromising your stance. Inevitably, having the wrong size golf clubs will result in either inconsistent results, a really uncomfortable golfing experience, or both.

I’ve been at Worldwide Golf Shops for 6 years, and I’ve been playing golf for 23 years. I have played a few mini tour events but now compete occasionally at the amateur level– currently a +2.1 handicap. I am a bit of a tinkerer when it comes to golf and golf clubs. I enjoy testing all aspects of different products, utilizing various fitting systems and learning about all the different club shafts, club lengths, golf balls, and putter styles. Not just for my game, but to help customers of all calibers.
