Just because a golfer does not have a tour-level swing speed, there is no reason why he cannot play a ball that provides tour-like performance. At least that’s the thinking of the technicians at Srixon and the reason they have developed the Q-Star Tour. As far as they are concerned, it will be a strong fit for a wide range of players.
The Q-Star Tour is a lower-compression, three-piece product with a urethane cover and a so-called Speed Dimple pattern that is designed to lower drag for better performance in the wind and give players more distance on their shots.
At the same time, the company has employed a Spin Skin coating with the ball to improve friction at impact and by extension enhance spin control around the green. Then, there is the Energetic Gradient Core. The idea behind this component of the Q-Star Tour is to promote energy transfer for increased ball speed on full shots and more consistent launch and spin.
