A good golf swing should start from the ground up, and one way to achieve that goal is get on the floor and practice the Rolling drill.
The Rolling drill is a basic exercise designed to help golfers with their swing sequencing and the feeling of having powerless arms. Your swing rotation should start from the ground up with your lower body rotating first, your torso second, and then the powerless arms should whip around through the swing, according to Jeremy Klinkhamer, physical therapist and owner of FitGolf Performance Centers in San Diego.
In the accompanying video, Klinkhamer demonstrates how to perform the Rolling drill and how it can emulate and improve your swing sequencing.
