Lining up a putt often comes down to what your eyes see at address. A small visual cue can make the target clearer and simplify the stroke that follows. The new PING Scottsdale TEC putters build around that idea, using alignment concepts shaped by eye-tracking research to guide how golfers focus on the ball and target.
Now available at Worldwide Golf, the Scottsdale TEC lineup introduces four mallet designs that combine visual alignment cues, high-MOI stability, and a soft yet responsive insert feel.
Alignment Inspired by How Golfers See the Putt

One of the most distinctive features of the Scottsdale TEC family is its Eye Q alignment concept. PING developed the system after studying how golfers visually focus before making a stroke. The design centers on a clear focal point paired with a longer alignment line.
The result is a layout that naturally draws your eyes to the ball and target area. By simplifying the visual picture at address, the design can make it easier to settle into the stroke and start the putt on line.
The putters also feature a bright white finish that contrasts with the green surface, giving the alignment markings more definition when you set the putter behind the ball.
Mallet Designs Built for Stability

Every Scottsdale TEC model uses a mallet shape, reflecting the growing preference for putters that provide added stability across the face.
Each head combines a lightweight aluminum body with a dense stainless-steel sole plate. That multi-material construction places mass low and around the perimeter, increasing moment of inertia and reducing twisting when contact moves away from center.
The center of gravity is positioned behind the shaft axis so the head moves smoothly through the stroke. This placement promotes stability while maintaining the natural feel golfers expect from a PING putter.
Four Models, Four Visual Approaches

The Scottsdale TEC lineup includes four models that share the same technology while offering different alignment layouts and shaft configurations.
PING Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset
The Ally Blue Onset places the shaft slightly behind the face, providing a full view of the ball at address while maintaining the forgiveness associated with a mallet design. The alignment dot and line work together to guide the eyes toward the center of the ball.
PING Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset CB
The Ally Blue Onset CB pairs the same head design with a counterbalanced setup. A longer shaft and extended grip allow golfers to hold the club lower, adding stability throughout the stroke.
PING Scottsdale TEC Ketsch Onset
The Ketsch Onset carries forward the well-known Ketsch mallet shape and incorporates the Eye Q alignment concept with three prominent lines. The onset shaft position again provides a clear view of the ball at address, while the broader shape increases stability through impact.
PING Scottsdale TEC Hayden
The Hayden offers a slightly different visual approach. Its heel-shafted configuration pairs with a long alignment line and a small focal dot on the top rail. Together, those features draw attention forward toward the target line while maintaining the forgiveness of a high-MOI mallet.
A Softer Feel with Consistent Roll

Across the lineup, the Scottsdale TEC putters share the same PEBAX insert technology. The lightweight material stores and releases energy efficiently at impact, producing a soft sensation while maintaining consistent roll and distance control.
Because the insert saves weight in the center of the head, engineers can redistribute mass around the perimeter to increase stability. The result is a putter that maintains direction and pace even when contact moves slightly off center.
