Titleist Enhances Pro V1 Duo

Start with the Pro V1, a three-piece product that has been re-engineered with a next-generation 2.0 ZG Process Core that is made to deliver greater distance through lower long-game spin and faster ball speed. In addition, a new dimple design was included to provide a more penetrating trajectory with even more consistent flight.

As for latest version of Pro V1x, which is four-piece ball that as a rule flies higher than Pro V1, it possesses a slightly firmer feel and spins more on irons shots while featuring a somewhat different ZG Process Dual Core and an updated cover design with fewer dimples.

Company officials assert that as those enhancements were made, they made sure to maintain the control, feel and durability that both models have become known for through the continued use of soft, urethane elastomer covers.

At the same time, the Titleist golf ball R&D and operations teams are working together to develop new technologies that deliver performance golfers may not yet realize they need.”

According to Mahoney, Jordan Spieth won the first time he put the new Pro V1x into competitive play, at the Australian Open in mid-November. And Brandon Stone employed the new Pro V1 to take the European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Championship in December. Today, more than 100 touring professionals are using the latest iterations of Pro V1 and Pro V1x in competition.
