Roll Models – Dial in your putting prowess with the latest flat sticks

The decision to purchase a new putter should not be taken lightly. It’s an important investment — not only because it’s the most-used club in your bag, but also because when it comes to scoring, no club in your bag plays a bigger role. But fear not. Whether you prefer blade, peripheral-weighted or mallet-style putters, there are plenty of options out there. From Odyssey’s new line of Ten putters and TaylorMade’s Spider models to Scotty Cameron’s Phantom X and PING’s all-new 2021 putters, there truly is something for everyone looking to get the ball in the hole in just a few less strokes.

SPIDER NEST – TaylorMade introduces four new putters to the franchise
The web of Spider putters produced by TaylorMade just got a whole lot bigger, with four new additions added to the acclaimed franchise: the Spider EX, the Spider X Hydro Blast, the Spider S, and the Spider SR. While the shapes of the models vary, one common theme is the True Path alignment system, which has been specialized for each of the new clubs. The True Path system simplifies the aiming process, helping golfers set up to the ball properly. The headliner of the group is the Spider EX, which comes in platinum white, ghost white, and navy and white, along with three different shaft bends. The TruePath alignment features three dots on top that allow you align the club for an accurate aim. Building on the tradition of the Spider X, the Spider X Hydro Blast maintains the advanced multi-material construction of the original but features a smooth and premium finish in a rich silver colorway. The Spider S is an upgrade of the first model introduced last year and features a new arrow-shaped alignment system inspired by archery’s pinpoint precision. The Spider SR has a smaller footprint, but is the most stable and forgiving in the current lineup. > SHOP HERE

X FACTOR  – Phantom putters incorporate feedback from the pros
Scotty Cameron took the extensive experience of the game’s best players and bolstered the Phantom X line of putters with four new additions – the 5, 5.5, 11 and 11.5. The Phantom X 5 models feature the same clubhead but offer different shaft configurations, while the Phantom X 11 models boast a brand new style that is a variation of the 5, but with more MOI and two shaft bends, one high and one low. The new lineup also features three different neck configurations – mid bend, low bend and low slant – that can fit golfers who have a straight back and straight through swing path or those who have more arc to their stroke. > SHOP HERE

PERFECT TEN – Odyssey unveils new putters that put an emphasis on alignment
With Odyssey’s new line of putters, you can take your game on the greens to another level – all the way to a Ten. The company’s recently released Ten putters feature 10 new models with a variety of alignment systems – including 2-Ball and Triple Track – that are designed to help golfers hit the mark more often. There are six 2-ball models to choose from – the 2-Ball Ten, the 2-Ball Ten Triple Track, and the 2-Ball Lined, and there are S versions of all three. Other models include the Lined Ten and the Triple Track Ten, which also have S versions. The S models feature an S-shaped hosel to optimize toe hang. Built with a new multi-material Stroke Lab shaft, the head shapes on each of the models are sleeker and more forgiving than previous Ten editions, and they include a high-performance Microhinge Star insert that assists with distance control and feel.> SHOP HERE

RIGHT ON TIME – Ping’s new line of putters celebrate the year 2021
The new year has inspired a fresh line of putters from PING: The 2021 series. The line features 12 eye-catching new models that offer blades, mid-mallets and mallet styles to work with a variety of different putting strokes. Each of the putters features a multi-material design to achieve optimal forgiveness as well as a new responsive insert that has a soft front layer to ensure precision on shorter, delicate putts, and a firmer back layer to assist with longer-range shots. “We’ve engineered a lot of score-lowering technology into the 2021 putter line through extensive research and tour player feedback,” said PING President John K. Solheim. “All of the models are developed with higher MOI through the strategic use of various materials, including tungsten, steel and aluminum, to provide the forgiveness and accuracy golfers expect from a PING putter.” The 2021 putters offer a sleek, attractive look as they are made with a dark, stealth PVD finish on the heads and a black chrome shaft.> SHOP HERE
